2014 Inductees
Meet the Dayton Distance Running Hall of Fame's Class of 2014: John Glidewell, Dave Johnston, and Mark Trick.
John is one of the fastest runners ro ever come out of the Dayton area. He was considered one of the best distance runners not only in Ohio, but on the national level from 1980-1986. He won numerous local and regional races during that time period along with competing at the level nationally.
For more than a decade, Dave was one of the most consistent and fastest road racers in southwest Ohio. One would be hard put to find another runner in the Miami Valley who won more local races than Dave during the time period between 2000-2009.
Mark has been and continues to be one of the top local runners in the Dayton and Miami Valley region. He has been a top level open and age group competitor ever since he started racing over 30 years go. While Mark did not start running until he was age 26, he accomplished some very noteworthy PR's and became known as one of the toughest competitors in southwest Ohio.
