Ron Rohrer
Year Inducted: 2004
Ron ran for Brookville high school and set school records in the long jump, high hurdles, and pole vault. He also was part of the 4x400 relay team which won the state championship.
Jump forward about twenty years and who would find him returning to running at age 38 in the Dayton Daily News River Run 8 mile race. From there Ron continued to record some great performances including national class times around the country while training with, and competing against national and world class runners.
Some of Ronʼs best age-graded races include a number of National Class performances in the 50-54 age group.

Ron is the head cross country coach and distance coach for track at Springboro high school for both the boys and girls teams. His teams have won the Mid-Miami League cross country championships. More recentlyRon coached the Springboro girls cross country team to two consecutive Greater Western Ohio Conference titles (2010, 2011). Two times his girls cross country team has finished second in the Ohio state championship meet. Ron has coached two individual state champions in track and cross country. He was named the MML girls cross country Coach of the Year. Ron has also coached at Tippecanoe high school.
He is the race director for the Springboro Ralph Wade 5k race.
